How do I get online to bid?
Click on the link Register to Bid and complete the application. You must supply a valid credit card number with the billing address matching your credit card's address. Please read the Auction Terms and Conditions before each auction as these may be subject to change.
Can I look at the merchandise before I bid?
Yes. In fact, it is strongly recommended. All auctions will have a public preview date either the day before or the day of the auction. Your affiliate hosting the auction may even be able to schedule an additional preview for you if you cannot make the scheduled one (this is not guaranteed). Items are sold "as is, where is" with no expressed or implied warranty. If you cannot make it to preview and are unsure of an item, please bid accordingly or do not bid at all.
How does the bidding work?
You are welcome to get online anytime after an auction is posted and start to bid! The auction will have a date and time for closing. This is the time the auction items are sold.
Staggered Closing will begin with lot 1 and will close at a rate of 3 to 6 minutes depending on the auction size and time available until all lots have closed. This feature will close the bidding in intervals and helps emulate a live auction.
Dynamic closing: the closing time of an item is automatically extended an additional 3 minutes whenever a bid is placed within the last 3 minutes of an items closing time.
Maximum Bid: You will have the option at any time to put a maximum bid on an item you are interested in. This is not a guarantee that you will win the item. It just means that you will not be notified nor need to place another bid unless someone else outbids you. Your bid will increase by increments until no one else is bidding against you or you have been outbid.
What if I make a mistake?
You will need to notify your affiliate hosting the auction immediately by both email and phone. They will do their best to correct your error, but this is not a guarantee. However, no bids will be modified after an item has closed. Please check your bids carefully.
What happens when the auction is over?
You will be notified by email of any and all items you have won! Bids are an enforceable commitment to purchase and by placing a bid in our auction, a bidder is making a binding offer to purchase the item for the amount bid. You will be expected to honor your purchase.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, certified check with a letter from the bank, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express. Asset Auctions Group uses the Authorize.net credit card payment processor. Please call us at 1-844-359-3456 or 816-668-1121 to arrange for payment. Failure to pay for items purchased will result in your bidding rights being revoked.
When do I get o pick up my winnings?
Load out day is always posted on the Auction Terms and Conditions with the date, time, and location where you will need to pick up your merchandise. Winning bidders will be expected to pick up their merchandise during the posted times on the posted date. You will be responsible for bringing your own tools and help when you purchase items that may need disconnected or dismantled for removal and transportation. Items not removed during the designated load out date and time may be considered abandoned if the buyer has not made prior arrangements with the affiliate hosting the auction for removal, transportation, shipping or an alternative pick up date.
Will I pay taxes?
All affiliates will collect taxes based on their location. To claim Tax Exempt a Tax Exempt form must be on file with the affiliate hosting the auction prior to the auction closing. Tax exempt forms received after invoices have been printed will need to file their refund with the state.
What if I can't make it to load out day?
Arrangements must be made in advance of the auction closing to ensure your items are not considered abandoned. Depending on the affiliate hosting the auction and the specific auction terms and conditions, your items may be able to be removed, delivered, or transferred to the affiliate warehouse if it is an onsite auction or stored until you can arrange pickup if it is a warehouse auction. Please remember these services are not guaranteed and each service will carry with it an additional fee. Make these arrangements in advance! Shipping is available for all closed auctions unless otherwise specified on the Terms and Conditions.
What if I am unhappy with my purchase or change my mind?
All items are sold "as is, where is" with no warranty expressed or implied. All sales are final with no credits, refunds, or exchanges. It is strongly recommended that you attend the public preview and/or bid accordingly. If in doubt, please do not bid! Please read the complete Terms and Conditions of each auction before placing your bids.
